2nd Annual South Jersey Letterbox Gathering
DATE:
October 16, 2004
PLACE:
Palmyra Cove Nature Park, Palmyra, NJ at the foot of the Tacony-
Palmyra Bridge
WEBSITE:

THEME:
Nature and wildlife
TIME:
10am - 4pm approx. Park closes at dusk. Classroom closes at 4pm
FOOD:
Please bring a dish or something to share to eat. Hoagies,
sandwiches, chips, dips, brownies,
cakes, pies, fruit, water, soda etc.
PLANS:
We will have use of the classroom if the weather does not cooperate.
What is the consensus of a
carving class here?? I would be willing to teach a 1 hour class
after lunch if there is a request for
one.
BOXES:
If you plan on planting your own boxes and wish to have these
included in the clue sheets I plan to
hand out please email me at: letterboxingbee at yahoo dot com and I
will include them.
NOTES:
NO pets of any kind as this is a nature reserve
NO BBQ'ing or fires of any type
They have picinic tables and benches outside for us to use
Classroom closes at 4pm.

The park also has a class:
Year Round - Orienteering at PCNP
Sunday-Saturday; 10 am-4 pm.
Reservations required: Call 856-829-1900 x-262 or 263
Fee: $8.00 per person (members free)
This 3-hour activity includes hands-on instructions on using a
compass and map. Participants will then complete the PCNP
orienteering cource. Compasses are provided.
HnH, I think you and I need to sign up (we could camp over 'til Sun.)

Judy, HnH and all,
This is not a camping place, but there are hotels, and or campgrounds
in the area. If anyone needs this info just ask me and I'll be happy
to provide the info.
I had asked about the camping because of the 3 places I was
considering 1 was an actual camp site (the site of last years
gathering).

Do it! My house is only 25 minutes from there but with 4 twenty somethings, 3 cats 2 dogs, one who is a pitbull, Mr. Irene aka the King of the Democrats, and about 8,000 political signs all over the place I FEEL like I camp out there! I'd much rather camp somewhere else....
